During 2000, invited by
KPMG's Guernsey (Channel Islands) office to contribute e-commerce
expertise to that office's local activities and consulting engagements.
Activities during 2000 included working with the local partner and a
consulting team from KPMG's London offices to create an e-commerce
strategy for the Guernsey Board of Industry, with special focus on the
business requirements of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI). The scope of
the analysis included areas such as technology trends, business
opportunities, network security, competitive analysis of similar tax
haven economies, and the regulatory environment for e-commerce centers.
Presented report findings to executive management of the Guernsey BOI.
Also during 2000, engaged by the Guernsey office to evaluate a KPMG PKI
investment opportunity.
